Excellent Wildlife Experience at Kabini

Human being is always curious to unlock the unknown, but it is not easy to discover new things as it demands passion and patience. India Government opened its vast diverse bio-assets to wildlife tourism since 1947 and at present a number of national parks situate at various parts of India. There are two wildlife sanctuaries in Kabini that work under government of Karnataka, permits the visitors to roam around in the parks and security of the guests has great preference here. Permission is granted here for trekking to deep forest and jeep safari to these national parks, namely Nagarhole National Park and Bandipur National Park, where wide variety of animals and birds roam around freely. These national parks are famous for its Tiger reserve. In India, Tiger Reserve Project began in 1973 and in Karnataka, Bandipur and Nagarhole National parks setup in the year 1973 and 1999 respectively as a part of this project. Now, these are havens not only to tigers but to a number of other Indian animals and birds.

Different kinds of beasts can be seen here such as Asian Elephant, Leopard, Sambar, Indian Gaur, Grey Mangoose, Rangoon, Dhole, Barking Deer, Spotted Dear, India Fox, Indian Jackal, Langur, Malabar Squirrel, Sloth Bear, Wild Boar etc. and are living here at most harmoniously. As mentioned earlier, Kabini River lies in between these two national parks and wildlife animals coming to the banks of Kabini River captivate the heart of visitors. Jeep safari to these national parks really gives the opportunity to get familiar and to understand the wildlife and its characteristics. Natural walk and cycling to jungle is also allowed. A morning walks with lungful of fresh air and the chirping and twittering of birds and voices of animals takes us into a world of fantasy. Nature is indeed a tutor that teaches us a lot of things which can be taken in our life and following these with whole heart will ultimately lead to our own good. Nature is a teacher indeed!   
Various rare species of fabulous birds along with different wandering animals can be seen here. It is a best place for bird watching and wildlife photography. Kabini is a paradise for bird watchers and shelters a number of wild birds and water birds such as Indian Peacock, Indian Pitta, Bar Headed Goose, Asian Paradise Flycatcher, Black Shouldered Kite, Brahminy Kite, Malabr Pied Hornbill, Nilgiri Flycatcher, Malabar Parakeet etc. Birding in Kabini is a wonderful experience for children and adults. Wildlife photographers admire this location due to its vivid landscape and miscellaneous gorgeous flora and fauna.    

Kabini River is another attraction here which originates from the hills in Wayanad district, Kerala, flows eastwards and joins with River Kaveri in Karnataka. Rich in wildlife, the backwaters of Kabini is one of the most admired wildlife destinations in India. The river flows along the periphery of two prominent national parks in Karnataka, the Nagarhole and Bandipur. Coracle riding in the Kabini River helps the visitors to be so close to the water and to watch the birds thoroughly. Boat safari is also provided through which brilliant picture of two national parks, one on each bank can be drawn along with the sights of marsh crocodiles, herons and other water birds.
